At the Madrid photo call for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, actress Jennifer Lawrence did just that. The actress looked stunning in a gorgeous blue Alexander McQueen sweater set–one that exemplifies that very high-waist, crop-top combo.

Her new hairstyle suits her very much. She looks quite different but beautiful.

The crop top is an interesting animal, to be sure. The midriff-baring trend is fun, stylish, and allows us to wear retro, high-waisted skirts, pants, and shorts without worrying about all that business of tucking things in (only to have fabric bunching out all over the place). However, exposing the belly and letting it all hang out certainly isn't for everyone. Luckily, there is a way to rock the crop top without sharing too much. Simply, choose a high-waisted bottom that covers your stomach, and a top (matching or not) that cuts off no more than an inch or so above its waistline.
